Golden Alexanders (zizia aurea) is a very adaptable plant. Late spring, early summer bloomer. Native hostplant for black swallowtail. Short lived perennial, but an excellent self seeder.
These have gone dormant for the season. Most of the native plants we sell need a natural dormancy period and we keep them outside to naturally go through this. The plants you will receive will have yellowing, or little to no foliage left on them, but will have good roots. After planting they will continue to grow more roots so treat them like they were growing even when no foliage is visable.
All of our plants are grown in biodegradable fabric pots made from plant fiber. May be planted in the pot or removed
