Pre stratified orange milkweed seed. (asclepias tuberosa). Orange milkweed is a wonderful plant for butterfly pollinator gardens. Ideal for medium to dry soils. Host for monarch butterflies. Slow growing but long lived.
Most native milkweed seeds need a cold treatment (stratification) for best germination. These seeds have already been stratified. However, they germinate quickly and will need to be planted (indoors or out-keeping in mind milkweed seedlings can be frost sensitive) immediately upon arrival and depending on time in transit, may already show signs of germination.
