Orange milkweed, more commonly known as butterfly milkweed (asclepias tuberosa) seeds. Orange/ Butterfly milkweed grows well in any medium to dry sandy soil and does well in a garden. It is a host plant for monarch butterfly caterpillars and well as being one of the best nectar plants for other butterflies (especially loved by swallowtails) Orange butterfly milkweed needs a stratification period of at least 30 days so they either need to be planted in the fall/ winter, or you can put them in a moist paper towel in a sealed baggie in the fridge for 30+ days prior to planting. They can then be planted outside or even started indoors.
