Butterflies are getting more active

Although there are butterflies in some life cycle form out there year round. You really don’t start seeing the “butterfly season” take off till you start getting overnight temps over 50F here. We have had some roller coaster weather and started to see some here and there, but then a string of cold rainy weather slowed things down. Well today we are starting to get pairings. We’ve got some zebra swallowtails (eurytides marcellus) out mating today.
